Human transportation choices vary out here.
The day began with our best campsite meal in Europe. Fresh coffee, tea, bread, cheese, cereal, yoghurt and thin sliced meats were available. We lingered for two hours, eating and charging our phones. I did a little blogging and was scolded for picking up butter with my fingers. We left with grace.
Two ferryboat rides were taken, allowing us to cross the Danube at critical EV6 junctions. The first boat utilized a cable system that allowed us to drift over the river; the engine fired for docking. On our second crossing, we were slightly stressed for time, taking the final boat at seven o’clock in the evening. This ride was accompanied by the magic of Bob Marley. His song "One Love" played from the Austrian captain’s speakers, reminding me of the interconnectedness of us all in a world that champions individual gain.
We balanced this experience by stopping at McDonald’s restaurant. I ordered a chicken salad and small shake using a vertical touch screen and my debit card. Technology is replacing jobs. Are you "lovin’ it"?
The campsite was another Austrian playground of the imagination. Food, drink and seesaws were available for humans beings of means and desire.
Note: I’ve noticed that people prefer to shop a trinket in Europe rather than explore it by bicycle.
Note: I have become, over the past couple of weeks, a fan of the Apfelschorle, carbonated mineral water and apple juice. I hope to serve these to people visiting my boat.
Love your narration Nels!
