Dole, France - July 14, 2018

The highlight of our cycle to Dole was a dip at an old lock along the way. In the heat, we have sought out swims in different French rivers.
Coming up on the lock, we were greeted with with the scene of several teenagers hurling themselves off the stone walkways. It didn’t take long before we were in the water. Perfect temperature!
I’m not sure why we were the only adults on the premises. It may have had something to do with the posted warning sign.

Later down the line, we stopped in at Pagny-le-Château for dinner. The atmosphere at the restaurant was laid back - downtempo music, eclectic furnishings and children everywhere. The falafel salad and cheese plate was wonderful.

This being a French holiday weekend, we took in a bit of live music at the Dole campground in the evening hours. The band attempted to cover The Who’s "Behind Blue Eyes". They shouldn’t have.
The World Cup final is tomorrow, and here we are, in France!
